Remember the story that came across the news about the Football player who drove his intoxicated friend home. They both were arrested when stopped by the police, unfortunately I don’t remember where this happened, but I do recall the story, because I was shocked I asked my husband isn’t that what the laws tell us to do, to have someone sober drive you home. But in this case this state had their own laws about drinking and driving I thought that was so unfair.
Wait until you arrive at your destination safely and even still just be careful if you drink; do it respectfully and do not be an embarrasement to yourselves or to your country. It’s better to be safe then sorry. Have a safe trip

As other people have said, it depends on the locality. In the US state of Virgina it is legal, in Maryland it is a $20 no points ticket. You will have to call the shires or whatever you people call them and find out. Just make sure that there are one less open containers than people.
