Thank you so much. Firstly why onetoo3years it had me begging at its mercy, stealing, losing jobs, family,driving license, and my life, yes it raped me of everything, I lost everything, everything.
Today when I look back at what things I lost its enough to make a grown man/woman cry forever.Its sickening to me that some kind of recreational drug is so powerful and so freely availabe can and will do this to everyone who gets addicted. Don’t be fooled by it, its cunning as an old fox, it waits for you on your shoulder ready to pounce on you, to get you addicted again. And you know what it comes back faster and more terrible than ever before.
Today could be one of the best days of your life. Why! because you have found somwhere with someone who could put you on the road to recovery and it will do you good. I myself have been clean and dry now for nearly a year and after several attempts at breaking the addiction I can finally say I am on top of it. And it’s the best feeling in the world. No more running round like a headless chicken, no more being ruled by the drink I am free, I am free for today. Yes! today I am free and I feel like a bird begining to fly, free to live a normal life and free myself from the pain of addiction.
The situations of harming oneself and others, the way we think when drinking, its all no good and it needs to be checked ASAP. The trouble it brings, the sneaky way it makes you feel invincible and invisible and not to mention family, job, driving license and money. The sneaky way we hide the drink, how we tell lies, steal for it, and MOST important our lives. Together we can break this addiction, we can help each other to finally hang our drinking boots up and put our slippers on.
Today this can start, its up to you and I can tell you from my heart that you will never regret it. So guys and girls are you ready? are you ready to enter the journey that could save your life, your job and your family. If so lets do it, lets start only when your ready. You have to be ready to do this, preparation is the key! Prepare your mind, get it into your head that you want to stop, set yourself up for it because it’s going to be one hell of a journey into freedom. I can tell you now your not going to like it, its one of the worst feeling you will get.
The nightmares, the dry retching, the shakes, sleepless nights, not eating, not even answering the door, its by no means easy to say the least but when you have done it for about 2 weeks those feeling will gradually disapear. Then you have to stay off it and then that is where you have to be strong, stronger than ever before, you have to, you have no choice if you want to beat this alcohol addiction.
